Samantha Betsinger works as a fulltime licensed massage therapist in our office. She graduated in
2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Merchandising Management from the International Academy of
Merchandising and Design in Chicago, IL. During her senior year, Samantha completed a yearlong
internship program with the Gap. Following five years in the retail industry, she chose to take her
career in a different direction and enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at the National University
of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Since graduating with her certificate in 2002, Samantha has worked
in both spa and clinical settings. She specializes in deep tissue and trigger point therapy and continues
expanding her knowledge by taking continuing education classes in pregnancy massage and orthopedic
massage.
Chelsea Brown has been working as a licensed massage therapist since June 2008 and has been a
member of the Olson team since March 2012. Her interest in massage therapy began in high school
when she gave massages to fellow dancers during her summers at ballet dance intensives. Since dance
is a passion of hers, she went on to graduate with a bachelor’s in Dance Performance and Choreography
from Hope College. Following graduation she spent a year auditioning and taking dance classes in
Chicago. She always told herself that if dancing professionally didn’t work out then she would go to
massage therapy school. So after the year of auditioning she enrolled at The Wellness and Massage
Training Institute and received her certification in February 2008. Three months later she became
nationally certified and licensed.
As well as working for chiropractors, Chelsea has also provided chair massages for participants in various activities, including a mother-daughter retreat in Wisconsin, the KBMF Foundation 5K run, and other events sponsored by Pure Health powered by Olson Chiropractic. She specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, and sports massage. To her, being a massage therapist is not just helping people feel better, it is healing, caring, and nurturing people back to an overall feeling of health and wellbeing.
Bridget Marano is an Illinois-licensed massage therapist who began practicing in 2006 when she
graduated from the Illinois School of Health Careers. The joy of helping others and her admiration of the
philosophy behind massage therapy convinced her to choose her career path. Believing in the education
of self-care, Bridget empowers each individual during their massage sessions. Her technique of massage
would best be described as therapeutic relaxation. She has also undergone continuing education in
prenatal massage since 2008. She is a member in good standing of the American Massage Therapy
Association and has been a part of the Pure Health powered by Olson Chiropractic team since March
2011.
Shari Scroggins has been a licensed therapist for eleven years. She graduated with a massage therapy
certificate from Waubonsee Community College in 2001 and has worked for our clinic for the past nine
years. Several of the trainings Shari has received include orthopedic, lymphatic drainage, prenatal,
infant, acupressure, PNF stretching, shiatsu, craniosacral, myofascial release with an emphasis on trigger
point, and deep tissue massage. Her passion is to help people resolve complicated musculoskeletal
concerns by using touch as a focus in healing. As a lifelong Auroran, she continues to strive to bring
natural health awareness to the community. The devoted wife and mother shows the same compassion
for her patients as she does her family.
